It's well written and drawn, but it's the shortest graphic novel I've ever read, AND it covers the entire base game AS WELL as the DLC. Everything feels rushed in the story and the comic has a definitive end (despite a sequel being announced for next year??). It just feels like the publishers had no faith that it would be successful so they tried to cram everything into one mini package. Likewise, we spend a lot of time in some random dessert instead of a signature location! What's up with that? Pretty poor choice IMO.
I really love Bloodborne and so I bought this. Alright for the price I guess but you can finish it before you finish your morning coffee. Only 40 pages or so of comic with very little dialogue. The art is really great and I think it's good enough on its own to justify the purchase.
Where to begin I’ll just say this if you are a truly fan of the bloodborne video game this is a must have really. The artwork drawings are just truly amazing so excited when it arrive at my house this comic is a work of art.
Came in quickly and was a gift for my fiance, he loves bloodborne so this is great.
Big fan of the video games and I love this adaptation. Illustrations are spot on and it captures the tone of the game completely.
The art is incredible
A reimagined take on an already nightmarish world, The Death of Sleep gives voice to the silent character from the game as well as a renewed view of the hopeless that fills the hunter’s dream. A good read even if you’ve never played the game.
The story is a tangent off of Djura's (Powder Keg guy in Old Yharnam with the machine gun on the tower) recognition that the beasts were once people.Other than that, it's a lot of fan service with "Look at this place here" and "I couldn't beat the BSB" and "Iosefka says some things" with a tiny bit of "Look at Mary Sue".Two stars for being a serviceable comic with an extra star if you love Bloodborne and are feeling charitable. Otherwise give this a hard pass.
