The book explores what you need to do, to become a great lawyer. Ok better way to put it, the book unlocks what you need to become the best trial lawyer that you can be. Rick shows that there is not a cookie cutter approach to being a trial attorney. The suggested reading list is worth the value of the book alone.
I got this because I needed a boost before a rough trial but upon reading it I realized that it should be read by every kid lawyer starting out in litigation. I now give it to my recent law school graduates as they begin their own trials - packed with heart, it is.
I recommend this book to my first-year law students.Rick Friedman has a simple, positive writing style (that I know is much harder to do than it looks). The book's inspiring and motivating message reminds students why they came to law school. It would also be a great book for people considering law school.
